Editor's review
First opened in 1888, the Concertgebouw (Concert Building) is amongst the worlds top concert halls because of its phenomenal acoustics, and is only behind Romes Parco della musica in visitor numbers internationally. With roughly 900 concerts taking place in the Concertgebouw per year, its easy to find something for every taste from amongst the classical, jazz, and world music offerings. Apart from the resident Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, many top-notch orchestras stop here for special concerts throughout the year, not the mention the countless solo artists which perform on a regular basis. Tickets are available to purchase online, by phone, or in person at the Concertgebouw box office.
