Ahoy there, all you lovers of hotels on the high seas - why settle for a boring old land-lover hotel when you could be making waves aboard a floating hotel? Welcome on board Amsterdams most exciting accommodation experience!
The staff at Botel take pride in making sure that your cabin is shipshape, with modern conveniences in all of their 175 rooms. Cabins are non-smoking and come complete with everything you need - toilet, shower, hair dryer, international satellite TV, clock radio, hair-dryer, free Wifi, safe, writing desk, temperature control and electronic door locks. 24-hour reception, medical service and multilingual staff ensure that no problem will go unsolved as extensive facilities such as wake-up calls, fax/copy, cash exchange, shoe polishing, bike/car rental & luggage deposit will help you to design your dream destination holiday or work trip.
An upper deck terrace provides the perfect location for sunbathing or sightseeing - boasting an amazing view of Amsterdam's skyline, framed by blue waters. However, there are more than just incredible views to drink in; relax with a cocktail at the in-house bar while you hone your skills on the pool table or pinball machine.
Begin your day with an English/Continental breakfast buffet (7-10:30 am) before setting sail on your Amsterdam adventure. Botel is the perfect base for launching your exploration of this invigorating city; moored on the banks of the river IJ @ the vibrant & historic NDSM Wharf. Formerly a dynamic shipyard, over the last ten years it has been transformed into the epitome of cool, playing host to numerous festivals, events, art shows, pubs, clubs, restaurants, galleries, dance parties & much, much more.
When you've finished exploring this fascinating maze of culture & history and you're ready to jump ship, it's only a 10-minute ferry ride to the iconic Central Railway Station, from which most of Amsterdams attractions are within walking distance. Spend your time wandering through centuries-old streets and winding alleyways, discovering the surpising shops, markets, pubs, restaurants, theaters & clubs that line them. You'll also be spoilt for choice with world-renowned museums abound: The Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, Hermitage, Rembrandt House Museum and Anne Frank House, just to name a few. Picturesque bridges and squares will help you to navigate the historical & romantic concentric canal system which borders the red light district, the Jordaan quarter and the flower market.
How to find this magnificent vessel? Make use of Boatel's free ferry service to and from the Central Railway Station and free hotel shuttle bus which runs all night long. Botel is easily reached via Ring road A10, exit s118 and Airport Schiphol is only an 18-minute ride away (approx.). Airport taxis are available on request.
