Schiphol airport will most likely be your first introduction to Amsterdam, and much like the city itself, the airport is well-appointed and well-organized for visitors. The entire, enormous airport is spread out within 3 halls of a single terminal, each with its own areas for some serious shopping and dining, or simply grabbing a magazine or quick bite to go. The airport even has two hotels inside the terminal, such as the Hotel Mercure, or the hip Yotel hotel cabins, which can be booked per hour. In addition, you can enjoy a relaxing massage, peruse selected works from the Rijksmuseum in the Schiphol branch of the national arts museum, or read a book at the airport library. Who knew airports could be so fun?
