On the outskirts of the city, in an otherworldly place that doesn’t have a social media presence, is Baan Silapin, known in English as Artist’s House. The traditional Thai canal house is adorned with colorful curiosities: lanterns, sculptures, and art pieces. The establishment’s history dates back 200 years and the owner does his best to maintain elements of new and traditional Thai culture. Each day, a traditional Thai puppet show is performed at 2:00pm; during the opening hours from around 10am to 6am daily, visitors can also browse local artworks for sale and enjoy the on-site coffee shop.
