The local currency - baht (THB) - will please anyone from most Western countries because of the favorable exchange rate. You can withdraw money from any ATM and many exchange facilities charge little or no fee. It is recommended to get an international card, such as Schwab Platinum Debit Card, in order to avoid fees at any ATMs internationally.
