Editor's review
It may seem odd to go to what is known as the world’s best Indian restaurant in Bangkok, but according to many sources, it’s the truth. Chef Gaggan is, thankfully, an Indian native who grew up in Kolkata. He’s worked in upscale, recognizable kitchens around the world and served to world leaders and celebrities. Classic chutneys, various dishes with traditional spices, and fusion Indian-Italian, is all on the menu. Housed in a 70-year-old colonial house, the restaurant has cozy, intimate dining spaces for small groups, and is open daily from 6pm to 11pm. Ordering a la carte is an option, but the 10 course tasting menu is recommended for hungry diners who want to try a little bit of everything for 1600 THB (about 50 USD). Vegetarian options are available and reservations can be made online.
