Editor's review
Spanning centuries of culture, the Egyptian museum in Berlin brings to life the grandeur of ancient Egypt.
Life and death, war and peace, kings and commoners, all are represented in this huge series of exhibitions. One of the most fascinating is the room dedicated to Queen Nefertiti, dominated by a bust discovered by archaeologists in Amarna and believed to have been created in that town in 1340 BCE.
Amateur Egyptologists will have a field day, and if it all gets too much there are guides to help you find your way through the three levels of the museum.
