It's Berlin's oldest cinema, and the one that most frequently wins awards and acclaim from tourists, locals and critics alike.
The programme, considering that Moviemento has just three screens, is impressive from every direction. Films come thick and fast, from all corners of the world in their original languages, earning the cinema a reputation as a top class independent movie house. Legend has it that it was here that the Rocky Horror Picture show first took a real hold on the imaginations of a generation of moviegoers.
Don't let the small size (Moviemento has a capacity of just 100) of the place put you off, as it has all the high end audio visual capacity that you would expect from your local multiplex.
