The Berlinische Galerie boasts a massive collection dedicated to modern art, photography and architecture, ranging from 1870 to the present day and dealing with works of artists from Germany and abroad.
Spread over almost 5000 square metres, the permanent exhibition at the museum presents a tantalising glimpse at the relationship between different artistic disciplines, while hosting regular, impressive, shorter-term shows.
Most prominent are the rooms dedicated to Dada Berlin, the Neue Sachlichkeit (New Objectivity) and the Eastern European avant-garde.
