Appropriately, a former battery plant is the home of the Energy Museum in Berlin.
The museum offers an insight into the development of energy sources, and connects this to real life in the context of powering Berlin. It covers a range of areas of interest in the field, including power plant engineering, public lighting and modern communication technology.
The only drawback is that, because it is a completely voluntary, service, you will need to book in advance to take a tour. On the bright side, you will be supplied with an expert guide who has worked in your field of interest.
