MaerzMusik

Always pushing the envelope, MaerzMusik is a not really a music festival - perhaps it is better described as a "sound" festival. The festival has a schedule filled with internationally renowned artists and musicians pushing the art of sound forward through what is sometimes considered "intellectual" contemporary music. Look for exhibitions, artist talks, orchestra and chamber music performances, operas, and live experimental electronic performances. This year's edition focuses on presenting the work of John Cage and Wolfgang Rihm.
