The full title of this exhibition currently running at the Martin-Gropius-Bau is "Under the Sign of the Golden Griffin. The Royal Tombs of the Scythians". The Scythians were a dominant tribe living on the Eurasion steppes between 8th and 3rd Century BC. The exhibition borrows items from many museums from as far away as Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan to present comprehensive findings on these ancient people, the most exciting of which are undoubtedly the lavishly-furnished princely tombs.
