Popkomm

A music industry exhibition and conference, Popkomm is also fast becoming Berlin's hippest music event thanks to the shenanigans of the accompanying festival. Held in Berlin since 2004 Popkomm has exploded in popularity thanks to the large number of cutting edge acts that it brings to the city each year. This September 400 acts will be descending on the German capital from 26 different countries and playing in venues all over town. Typically each venue will host several bands in one night and events like Finnish Rock Night, Kick It Like Canada and the Mighty Kingdom will showcase acts from Finland, Canada and the UK respectively. There will also be plenty of dance-orientated sounds doing the rounds with Sonar Kollektiv presenting a night at Club Apollosaal, and the Word Up! nights at Kaffee Burger will even provide poetry as well as music. If that wasn't enough to keep you occupied then Popkomm finishes with a bang on September 23rd with Club Nacht (Club Night). For a paltry 11 Euros you can gain entry to 31 different clubs in Berlin.
