What exactly was Iron Curtain chic in the East Berlin of the 1970s and 80s? If that's a question that keeps you awake at night, book into the Ostel Design Hostel, and by the time you leave you will have all the answers.
It's actually quite an experience, living among the decor of bygone East Germany, in an original 'Platten' building.
You can book either single or double rooms, or take the holiday apartment if you like a little more independence about your accommodation. Or, try a bunk in a shared room - the Ostel's Pioneer Camp.
