Berlinale Set to Shine
Berlin?s respected film festival, the Berlinale, is set to kick off this month in what will be its 61st edition. Taking place at cinemas across the city, Berlinale is one of Europe?s most prestigious festivals celebrating both emerging and established filmmakers though a wide variety of categories both competitive and non-competitive.
While last year?s international jury was headed by Werner Herzog, this year?s festival will be presided by actress and filmmaker Isabella Rossellini. The Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement will be presented to German actor Armin Mueller-Stahl.
The prestigious Golden Bear award will be awarded to one of the films in the competitive category which includes fifteen films from the US, France, Germany, Mexico, Iran, and beyond.
Berlinale runs from 10 to 20 February and will open with a screening of the Coen Brothers? True Grit.
