Berlin Hosts Hipster Olympics

While the real summer Olympics are taking over London this summer, the fashionable youth of Berlin have hosted their own, of course much cooler (or are we being ironic?), take on the event - the Hipster Olympics.

With its reputation as one of Europe?s biggest magnets for hip and artsy youth, Berlin is now home to a large population of international hipsters. And with the Hipster Olympics, now?s their chance to (ironically) show their sports skills in such competitions as bubble tea drinking and vinyl spinning. Other events included a skinny jeans tug-of-war, a horn-rimmed glasses throwing contest, and a canvas tote bag race.

Some 6000 hipsters came together to watch this year?s Hipster Olympics, which took place in a club in east Berlin.
