Editor's review
As of July 2007, Sage Club has been taken over by KitKatClub.
One of Berlin's oldest and most infamous clubs Sage has lost little of its appeal over the passage of time. Instant cool factor comes courtesy of its partial occupation of Heinrich Heine Strasse Station, and a decor which mixes jet-set style (such as swimming pool on the roof) with bizarre decorative touches (such as gargoyles overlooking the bar). The music policy changes depending on the night with live rock acts supported by DJs on Thursdays, more funky house and hip sounds on a Friday and finally some pretty tough beats on any given Saturday. As you might expect from such a broad-ranging club the crowd is diverse and dependent on the night, although generally depends to be on the younger side.
