Let's face it, getting really good Indian food in continental Europe is always a hit and miss affair, and far too often it falls on the side of the miss.

Maharadscha originally opened at Fugger Strasse 21 in Schöneberg. They quickly realised that one restaurant was not enough to feed the hoards that beat a path to their door daily, largely on the basis of word of mouth advertising.

So Berlin's second Maharadscha was born, and is proving just as much a success as its big brother.

Clearly, here is a budding business that has been blessed with a chef who thinks that Indian cooking is about more than throwing chilli and cumin at random into the pot with the chicken. And, just as with all good Indian restaurants, there is a wide choice for vegetarians.
