Editor's review
Zur Gerichtslaube is one of the oldest restaurants in Berlin, and claims to have served everyone from the common folk of the German capital to Prussian kings and the electors of Brandenburg since the end of the 13th century.
Nowadays, you don't need a crown or a scroll to get a table, just a phone call ahead will do to make your reservation. It's open from 11.30am so suitable for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, offering a fine choice of traditional German fare.
Choose to dine in the historic councillors' chamber, or book the whole of the top floor and throw a private party for up to 30 guests.
