Reviews of German Restaurants in Berlin
We made the big mistake to try to eat something. The owner is very very rude and absolutely client unfriendly we were FLABBERGASTED!!!. Beer and Soup were okay but we never got the chance to order the main course because the kitchen was suddenly closed!!!! In the end we found very friendly service and good food for half the price two doors away.
Classic Berlin!
The most rude persons I've ever met. No one should go there EVER. We left the restaurant 3 minutes after we entered, both with another couple from US that attempted also to eat there. No one should give him even one euro, since they are not interested at all for customers. Awful attitude!!! The one star review is because I have no option for none. To be honest it is the first time I write a review, but potential customers should know about him!
I give a star because its location which is easy to find. please be totally aware this is not the gambrinus restaurant that was famous for, this is now closed. This pub is very old pub, small, no decoration. only 13 small pictures in wall. Food not value for money, with very small portions and cold. Looks like if they are masquerading the original Gambrinus which also had a different address. The chinese person who serves was welcoming though...
A classic Berlin pub...
Bombbbb, Foood;)) Awesome Beer
I used to love to go there but was there recently. The food was mediocre and the service was poor. Shame.
Superb place where I've celebrated my 40st birthday with a group of 16 friends. Perfect service, perfect food, perfect drinks!!
eaten at the Sophieneck with both family and friends. On all occaisions the food has been perfect, the portions are on the large side so I would suggest just having a main meal on your first visit
Awesome
It was recommended to me by a friend and because I know what type of place that might be I was a bit scared :) But all in all it was great, the atmosphere was pretty cool, good beer!
After 3 days in Berlin, it was the first restaurant where atmosphere and food were really good...Small prices as well...To be recommended
The Pinguin-Club has been itself. Since 20 Years its not PC. Now it is Pinguin-Bar. The STORCH has been the number 1 Place in Berlin for 22 Years. Now the Renger-Platsch trys to work with STORCHs name. it is not the same! Since 3 years! KUCKUCK was so great, it will come downtown soon! WATCH THE ORIGINAL! PLEASE! The Rest is Fake.
An elegant place with delicious "dishes"!
der kuckuck is also pleite rip!
A very simple place to eat at. not very relxing i say so myself. Me and my team mates all thing its an ''all right'' place. you wouldn't come here for a huge family gathering or a important dinner/lunch. But probaly for just a simple snack place to munch a small bite. But overall only come here if your really starving.
yes - the restaurant is a bit pricey, but the food is so refined - what a great place to relax after a long day! recommended!
We (My wife & 12 year old son) ate lunch here twice & dinner once. We liked being able to sit outside on a relatively quiet street with a nice view. Crisp white linen & friendly & efficient service. We found it good value , especially the "Business lunch " menu (2 courses & a glass of wine for 16 euros). There was a good selection of wines by the glass. By German standards the food was light & the menu varied. My son was able to select delicious vegetarian options. It was a real haven after hectic days sight seeing.
STORCH i AM SORRY is closed since summer of 2007 Re-opening soon you are welcome! STORCH
We had one of our best meals at STORCH! Sitting beside famous Rock-Stars .....having best wine, its a damned good place. GO STORCH! Dont miss it! Frank
