Berlin's grand new central station, the Hauptbahnhof, is an impossibly vast palace of glass and steel which very much lets you know you've just arrived in the capital of Europe's most powerful country. Four billion Euros well spent indeed! From Berlin Hauptbahnhof you can reach pretty much anywhere in Germany and Europe - all international services to Berlin start and end here. Needless to say you'll find plenty in the way of facilities, and those looking for ATMs, snacks or tourist information won't be disappointed. There's even a fully-blown shopping mall on site.
