The 20th century's sixties are for Jozef Kostka the boom years of artistic formation, a new inhalation of freedom after years of political pressure and "guides" for artistic expression. His creative range in this period is huge. In addition to female figural sculptures, which mostly celebrated youth and motherhood, he also captured the intimate atmosphere of the studio (Sculptor and model, 1962, 1968), and focused its attention on non-figurative objects.
