For those who prefer intimacy over vast, blockbusting chains, Michalska Brana could be just the ticket. This diminutive hideaway is located on one of the prettiest streets in the Old Town - Bastova - a narrow, cobbled number just off St. Michael's Gate(from which the hotel takes its name). Hotel Michalska Brana has just fourteen guest rooms to choose from. These include singles, doubles and a variety of apartments. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with bath or shower. A cosy little restaurant serves Slovak cuisine, and there's a beguiling garden for a pre-dinner drink.
