Bratislava's main train station is about a 15 minute walk to the northern edge of the centre, but it's easily accessible by tram 13 from the Old Town (15 minutes). It's advisable to arrive about 30 minutes before your train departs, as you'll inevitably have to queue and confront a famously unhelpful station attendant in order to get a ticket. There are daily connections to Prague, Kosice, Budapest, Warsaw and all of Slovakia. The fastest and fanciest trains are EuroCity and InterCity trains; trains marked with an 'R' make fewer stops, while trains marked with an 'O' stop often and at places that aren't actual stops at all. Inside the station you'll find numerous food outlets, newsstands, a florist, tourist info, ATMs and a left luggage office open from 5:30 to midnight. Check the website for train schedules...
