Reviews of Shopping in Bucharest
V. misleading. How old is this article? I went today and there were just two stalls. Maybe it's closed on Sundays but you said it opens every day.
A place kind of unique in bucharest. It will definitely suit you if you search for something different and a very friendly atmosphere.
I only go there for the cinema. Not too many shops though so it is not the best place if you go for diversity in shopping.
Amzei market is no more (as of 9.2011).It has been displaced by new buildings. There are some people selling fruit and veg informally from car boots....
Cult!
My favourite place in Bucharest!
The best place to go for free, natural food!
I love Market shopping and this place is great, good choice of produce.
My favourite way to kill a few hours, browsing through a bookshop, and this one was great with an excellent selection. Good stuff!
I can't say there's anything particularly special about this shopping centre, other than its (huge) side. However, there is a wide variety of shops so if you like spending an entire day shopping (or if it's raining during your trip), this is a good place to go.
Romanian markets are amazing. The fresh food is just fantastic and the shopkeepers seem disinterested until you walk up then they're just super friendly and helpful. Don't miss.
I lived in Bucharest and I was curios to see what's new. I am a litle bit confused seeing that the mall is called "Bucaresti". I saw on the picture/building "Bucuresti Mall". On what grounds was named "Bucaresti"? Just curios... I actualy visited the shops in the mall a few years ago, and I realy liked it, it's first class, expensive though.
Carturesti is the perfect antidote to a rainy day. You could spend all day in there, honest. And if you do get bored, there's actually a movie theatre next door.
