Sziget Headliners Announced

The headliners for Sziget 2008 have already been revealed, prompting hysteria amongst music fans clamouring to get those much sought after tickets...

The Sziget Festival is one of the greatest events of its type in Europe, held annually on Obudai Island in Budapest where thousands upon thousands of youngsters camp out under the stars, with even more descending from hostels and budget accommodation around the city on a daily basis.

The headliners announced so far are include grandfathers of rock, indie and punk respectively - Iron Maiden, REM and the Sex Pistols, guaranteeing that 2008 won't be shy of big names. Of course there's much than the headliners to see and do at Sziget, and if none of those three float your boat, no need to worry - several dance tents with DJs from around the globe, and host of cutting edge from every field, including electro, folk and jazz will all be present, as will every manner of entertainment from archery to zen workshops.
