Broet is pronounced "brute" but with a really short 'oo' sound. It means "breed" and indeed it's a platform where things can incubate. This is an organization that stimulates independent filmmakers, and people who want to make a film, or just be part of a film somehow. Staff are on location to give advice and lead workshops, with topics like 'special effects' or 'directing'. Broet also screens films to the movie-lovers in their little cinema with a program spanning indie films, short and feature length films in all sorts of genres with an alternative streak.
