Editor's review
The 'Little Old Factory', the place where Philips started producing its very first lightbulbs back in 1891, is the core of the recently opened Philips Museum in Eindhoven. The museum gives an overview of the rich history of this multinational company from its start in 1891 until today. Important developments in technology, society and culture are on the basis of the exposition. A special design is made by GSG Architects in which the former factory is put in some kind of glass case.
The museum is open Tue-Sun from 11-17. Entry is € 9,00 for adults and € 4,50 for children 6-17 years. Children up to 6 and holders of a 'Museumkaart' can go free.
This place won a Best Places 2015 award.
