Niels van Heel

Every Sunday POPEI presents free live music from talented singer-songwriters. Sunday December 15th Niels van Heel will sing in an intimate setting at the café.

Niels van Heel has been musically active since he was 6 years old. He started with playing the piano, but after a few years he picked up the guitar and he also started singing. Through the year Niels played in a lot of bands, from jazzy BigBands till coverband ‘Baby Blue’ with which he is touring through The Netherlands right now.

Niels his biggest passion is writing songs, the moulding of chords and words to a finished song. Sometimes jazzy, sometimes bluezy, but actually always poppy. The last few years he played this songs live with his partner in crime Janique van Schaijk as the duo 'Janique en Niels’. However this time he plays the songs on his own, in the most purest form.
