Yoga Festival Eindhoven
Yoga Festival Eindhoven. Eindhoven will experience the first edition of the Yoga Festival Eindhoven this summer. On the 13th and 14th of june the Stadswandelpark will be filled with yoga lovers who will practice yoga, meditation, massages, dance and much more. The festival will feature more than 120 different workshops on a diverse range of yoga styles, as well as massages, a lifestyle market, catering by Amaro, and on Saturday night: dancing under the stars with Lady Aida a.k.a. Meetraj. The festival welcomes beginners and advanced yogi’s of any age. Specially for beginners there will be introduction sessions. Workshops will be taught by instructors from in and around Eindhoven as well as (inter)nationally acclaimed teachers. What makes this festival one of a kind is a unique blend of both modern and traditional styles. You will get the opportunity to practice more or less every kind of yoga; e.g. hatha, flying acro, chi flow, power & yin yoga, and aerial Yoga—a new form commonly practiced in the United States in which traditional yoga stances/asanas are practiced using hammocks made of fabric, hanging down from a large framework 14 meters wide and 8 meters high. On Sunday morning the festival will kick of as early as 4:30 am with an extraordinary tradition from the kundalini yoga culture: the sadhana.
Kids No babysitter? No problem. Your children are welcome at the Yoga Festival. Children up to the age of 12 even enjoy free entrance! There is a Kids Area with yoga for children, parent-child yoga, a table for the creative, a barefoottrack and much more! Amaro An extraordinary festival calls for extraordinary food. Andre Amaro’s biggest Lowlands tent, long tables, sparkling fires and Indian sitar music will blend with the clanging, clashing and rattling of the pots and pans in the busy kitchen. Enjoy the best salads, fresh herbs, bean dishes, grilled vegetables, lavish trays of fresh fruit, fresh honey, tapenade, and crispy fresh farmers’ bread. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as unlimited water and Yogi-tea are included in the price. Lady Aida Saturday night will be the time for dancing under the stars on the large central square of the yoga-park. Lady Aida will then, for the first time under the name Meetraj, play a blend of spicy Indian sounds such as Bhangra, Punjabi and Bollywood dance rythms to get the dancers moving. Lady Aida is the mastermind behind the festival’s musical acts. In the coming weeks we shall announce which extraordinary national and international artists will feature on the festival. Stay tuned.
