Noche Flamenca

Enjoy some Spanish culture and lifestyle February 13th at Noche Flamenca at PopEi. Live music & dancing and food based on the Spanish cuisine in the cosy PopEi-café. Tapas at 5 pm. Live music & dancing at 7.30 pm. Entry: pay what you want (excl. food)

Jessica Achten (Flamenco dancer/teacher), Tijn van der Sanden (Flamenco/classical guitarist) and Erminia Fernández Córdoba (singer) are young artist who are have been specialised in Flamenco for quite some time now. They will take you with them in their music and dance, and the diversity of Flamenco. Flamenco is an artform from Andalusië (south of Spain) and consists of three elements: singing, guitar and dance. Flamenco is all about express a feeling (from deep sadness to utter happiness), in which the ‘compás’ (rythym) is crucial. Flamenco is intense, passionate and powerfull. This flamenco-evening will be organised in collaboration with the Eindhoven Expat community. We’re aiming to bring expats and people from Eindhoven together through activities. Entry is free, but you can make a (small) contribution nonetheless to support the live musicians and dancers.
