New Year's Eve in Gdansk

If you've heading over to Gdansk for New Year's Eve ('Sylwester' in Polish) then the Coal Market (Targ Weglowy), is the place to be come midnight. Gdansk's very own equivalent of Trafalgar or Times Square, this is the area where the good citizens of the Trojmiastio gather to see concerts, fireworks and the traditional ringing in of the New Year. If you're heading down prepare to exchange shouts of "na zdrowie" (cheers!) to every passer-by!
