Head to Dlugi Targ on December 5th for the massive open-air holiday gathering in which Gdansk's enormous tree is decorated and lit with lights and incessant nativity plays take place. More celebrations will take place on Dlugi Targ on the 19th, but the Coal Market (Targ Weglowy) is ground zero for New Year's Eve revelry and fireworks. Don't miss it.
