flats in area
I am moving from the US to teach at one of the Universities from Sept to June. What can I expect to pay for rent for a flat that will house my wife and 4 kids (probably 3 bedrooms)? How common are flats of that size?

You have to ask an agency because it is very difficult to find appartments to rent directly. The problem is that usually the English language is not spoken by too many Polish the owner will ask double for rent. You will meet same situation with taxi drivers. For example, I pay 3200 zloty (800 USD) for an appartment in Gdansk with one bedroom, a small room, bathroom and kitchen. If yo know somebody here, you can ask him to help you.
