Opera Star Carreras in Gdansk

One of the world's best known operatic singers Jose Carreras performed in Gdansk recently, wowing audiences with his concert of opera classics as well as musical hits. Also performing was popular Polish songstress Edyta Gorniak, who first took centre stage in Poland after becoming the first Polish singer to take part in the Eurovision contest in 1994.

The duet performed several songs together including Andrew Lloyd-Webber's "All I Ask Of You" from Phantom of the Opera. The concert, which took place at Gdansk's Ergo Arena, also featured duets with artists such as Russian soprano Natalia Ushakova.
