Dynamo Want Shevchenko Back
Dynamo Kiev have told Chelsea that they would like to take on loan the player, and local hero, Andriy Shevchenko, whom they sold to AC Milan in 1999.
Since arriving at Chelsea last year, after a record 30 million pound transfer from Milan, Shevchenko has had little impact on the Premier League, scoring just four goals in his debut season. This is a far cry from the 127 league goals he scored in seven seasons for Milan and 60 in his five seasons with Dynamo Kiev.
No doubt Shevchenko, former European Player of the Year in 2004, would leap at the opportunity to head back to Kiev where a warm welcome and easier ride than the Premiership awaits. However the move would represent bad business for Chelsea who will either want to take advantage of the player's services or earn a fee for him - at thirty years old this may be the London club's last chance to recuperate some of their thirty million.
