Euro 2012 Cup Arrives in Kiev
The UEFA Euro 2012 Cup has arrived in Kiev, and has been presented at an official ceremony attended by UEFA officials and Ukraine Euro 2012 Executing Committee members. The cup has already visited Poland, the country which will share hosting duties with Ukraine for the huge football event next year.
The UEFA Euro Cup was redesigned in 2008 for the championship in Austria and Switzerland, with the addition of a larger silver base and increased space to engrave all championship winners on the trophys back. Weighing in at 7.6 kg, the cup measures nearly 60 cm in height.
Kiev is one of the four cities which will host the Ukrainian portion of the June 2012 championships, alongside Lviv, Donetsk and Kharkov.
