First Biennale in Ukraine Announced
The first International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Ukraine has been announced, and is set to take place in Kiev this summer. Going by the name of ARSENALE, the Biennale will be a milestone in the development of the citys arts scene, firmly placing the city on the map of the world of contemporary art.
ARSENALE will be art directed David Elliot, acclaimed British-born gallery and museum curator and writer. The event is set to draw 80 artists from across 40 countries, and will take place largely at the Kiev Mystetskyi Arsenal arts centre.
The ARSENALE Biennale will take place from May 17 to July 31 2012.
