There are now three branches of the enormously popular Yakitoria restaurants in Kiev, a franchise which began in Moscow back in 1999 - and it's easy to see what all the fuss is about. All the key ingredients are here for a rewarding foray into the world of Asian cuisine. Minimalist decor, check. Fresh sushi and sashimi, check. Professional staff in smart orange uniforms, check. Upwardly mobile types trying to be more cosmopolitan than they really are - check! Yakitoria is open throughout the night, so if you're pulling a late shift at the office you can drop by for a midnight snack. Find the other locations at L. Ukrainky 27 and Shevchenko 27a.
