Editor's review
Krakow's Institute of Nuclear Physics was established by the talented Mr. Niewodniczanski in 1955 - an exciting time in the development of nuclear science. Needless to say it has conducted much vital research in it's 50 or so years and continues to be one of Poland's leading scientific institutes. The Institute had a particularly important role to play following the Chernobyl accident in Ukraine, providing accurate measurements of radioactive contamination of air, soil and food. If you want to find out more about the Institute's work check out their informative website.
