A panoply of swashbuckling suits of armour in the opening rooms will be sure to please youngsters. Likewise the whopping model of medieval Krakow. However, the next chain of rooms could be a little bewildering to both children and non-Polish speakers alike. Nevertheless, the building itself (a former palace that once belonged to a Marshal of the Crown) is a rather magnificent place.
The Museum also exhibits the entrants for the much-loved 'Szopki' (Nativity scene) annual contest. Besides this, there are some excellent one-off exhibitions.
