The former Swit cinema, a cinematography beacon in the communist city of Nowa Huta, has for years been neglected, both building-wise, and in terms of its cultural potential. Fortunately, after becoming branch of Kijow Cinema, Swit is nowadays a cultural centre and a cool place to hang out. Good coffee, a place to sit and read books, good ambient music - Swit Cinema & Cafe is both a recommendable venue in Nowa Huta, and a cultural hub, with a variety of events going on non-stop.
