Sketches of Culture

A lifelong passion for photography began with a canoe trip in the company of the man who was to become Pope John Paul II. That was the point at which architecture graduate Wojciech Plewinski decided he was destined for a career behind the lens – and it sparked the images included in this exhibition.

Among them are a melancholy Tadeusz Kantor, and a young and extremely merry Roman Polanski, dancing on a table at a jazz bar.
