Costume is an essential expression of national identity, but as Europe is being drawn ever closer together, artist Małgorzata Markiewicz has designed a ‘national costume’ for the citizens of the European Union. It’s really quite a bizarre outfit - a blouse shaped as the letter ‘E’ and trousers shaped as the letter ‘U’.
