Catone in Utica

It’s premiere time, as Opera Rara and Theater an der Wien bring this work of Vivaldi to Krakow – and to Poland – for the first time.

Vivaldi based this piece on Pietr Metastasio’s libretto, which is set in ancient Rome and was first performed in 1737.

Modo Antiquo will be conducted by Federico Maria Sardelli, while the cast is to include Magnus Staveland, Sonia Prina, Loriana Castellano and Paolo Lopez.
