Władysław Reymont's novel The Promised Land (Ziemia Obiecana) is among the best-known literary works in Poland. And the man himself was a Nobel Prize winner, so this show is something worth seeing - all the more so for the special effects brought to the stage thanks to co-operation of the Ludwik Solski State Drama School.
The story is in essence a morality tale, focusing on the trials of three men who find that capitalism sometimes gets in the way of humanity as they attempt to run a business in Łódź.
