World Book Day

If someone hands you a rose in a cafe or bookshop this month it doesn't mean they've fallen inescapably (and maybe inexplicably) for your charms.

World Book Day is celebrated each year in Krakow, with readings, sales, and of course roses.

Among the events this year, will be the Literary Translation award, at the Cervantes Institute. The Institute will also hold multi-language readings based on Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote de La Mancha, from noon.
