Jewish Culture Festival 2013
Since 1988 the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow, the biggest presentation of contemporary culture created by worldwide Jewish community, has already earned a brand of one of the most recognisable events in the world.
It comprises of 10 days of various events: concerts and recitals, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, happenings and sightseeing tours. Each year the festival is visited by ca 30,000 from all corners of the world.
The aim of the event is to present the abundance of contemporary Jewish culture, hence it presents a broad spectrum of expression: from the traditional, religious even, to avant guard and even somewhat heretic. The festival is also an annual opportunity to present the reborn Jewish community in Poland, growing steadily with every year.
NOTE
Due to very poor weather conditions in Krakow, the Friday 28th concert of THE APPLES will take place in FORUM PRZESTRZENIE club - right next to the originally planned location at the Marta Boat. We start at the same time - 9:00 p.m. - and the great news is that there will be tickets available at the door (30 PLN).
Friday's welcoming Shabbat ceremony Kabbalat Shabbat will be held in the KUPA SYNAGOGUE (27 Miodowa Street), instead of the Tempel Synagogue.
