Award-winning Bona’s new project Mandekan Cubano is music to dance to for sure… but it draws heavily on a period of human history cast in the deepest shadow. Mandekan was the language of the slaves taken from the west of the African continent to North America – people who are among the forefathers of today’s Cuban population. Carmeroonian Bona, bass player and singer, follows the thread of Cuban music, much of which has developed from the traditions associated with the slaves. Tickets 100zl/150zl.
