The Challenge of Art

Two artists, both graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Dusseldorf, are on display together at Strefa A this month. Agata Agatowsta and Florian Fausch represent a tantalising collusion of German and Polish art, each bringing their own touch – influenced by their backgrounds and life experience – to a very modern form of expression. On the one hand, Agatowsta’s classical forms reach into the contemporary world and touch on both the real and surreal, while on the other, Fausch chooses to employ abstract notions, in particular colour, to express ideas of space.
